Taking into consideration high requirements to the privacy of the information processed by the system, MaxPatrol includes strong protection mechanisms. Cryptographic protection methods, which ensure privacy and integrity of important information like user passwords and access privileges, are used in information transmission and storage. Availability of certified implementations of domestic cryptographic algorithms is provided. The traffic security is guaranteed by using digital certificates and SSL/TLS protocol, which is an industry standard; thus, high consistency and security of data are achieved. Integration with the existing public key infrastructure (PKI) is supported.

A flexible system of access rights allows monitoring the information security at different hierarchy levels (e.g., the levels of administrators, IT and IS managers, and IS director). For every system user, a list of tasks he or she can carry out in the system is assigned and permissions to work with certain system objects are determined.
